Agiloft Appoints Enterprise SaaS Veteran Jeff Romano as Chief Customer Officer

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 29, 2026 – Agiloft, the global leader in data-first contract lifecycle management (CLM), today announced the appointment of Jeff Romano as Chief Customer Officer (CCO). Romano will oversee Agiloft’s global customer success, professional services, training, onboarding, and support operations, steering the next phase of the company's customer-centric growth.

Romano joins Agiloft with more than 25 years of experience building and leading world-class customer success organizations for prominent enterprise software, data, and AI platform providers. Most recently, he served as Chief Customer Officer at marketing automation and predictive analytics platform 6sense. Over his distinguished career, he has held senior leadership roles at major industry players and innovative tech enterprises, including PeopleSoft, Inc. (now part of Oracle), Saviynt, Exabeam, and 8x8.

“At Agiloft, our core philosophy relies on a powerful culture equation: Employee Experience equals Customer Experience (Ex = Cx),” said Eric Laughlin, CEO of Agiloft. “Bringing Jeff on board as CCO is a tremendous win for our global community of users. Jeff is a visionary leader who understands that in modern enterprise SaaS, customer loyalty must be earned and sustained every single day. His deep expertise in driving customer value through automation, integration, and data-driven insights will ensure our clients continue to achieve maximum strategic return from their CLM investments.”

The creation of the centralized CCO function is designed to explicitly to ensure customers derive rapid, measurable value from their CLM investments, turning users into lifelong enterprise advocates. Romano's innovative approach to unlocking operational velocity, specifically by orchestrating agentic tools to strip out administrative bottlenecks and deploying engineering teams directly into customer ecosystems, aligns well with Agiloft’s vision to embed contract intelligence seamlessly into the fabric of modern enterprise workflows.

“Agiloft has built an enviable reputation not just for its incredibly powerful, adaptable CLM software, but for its genuine partnership with the procurement, legal, and sales operations teams that rely on it,” said Jeff Romano. “The modern enterprise demands contract management that bridges data silos and accelerates business velocity. I look forward to working closely with our global team to design friction-free onboarding experiences, pioneer new AI-driven enablement and adoption strategies, and ensure every Agiloft customer unlocks maximum value across their entire digital ecosystem.”

Romano holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. Over his career, he has successfully managed global operations exceeding $200 million in service revenue and led cross-functional teams spanning North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
