REDWOODCITY, Calif., July 14, 2026 – Agiloft, the global leader in data-firstcontract lifecycle management (CLM), today announced the general availabilityof Agiloft Astra, its contract AI platform. Effectiveimmediately, any legal, procurement, finance, or sales professional can startusing Astra's free plan, with no waitlist or upfront costs required[OH1] [NM2] . Astra is designed to deliver valuefrom the very first session, with new users achieving meaningful use in anaverage of five minutes. This announcement follows the close of Astra’sEarly Access Program[AP3] [NM4] , which launched in April this year.
As with the Early Access [NM5] Program,[AP6] every Astra account under general availability operates under the Astra CleanData Promise, which guarantees that customer contract data is never used totrain AI models regardless of account tier.
Agiloft Astra is built for legal, procurement, finance, and sales teams. Users upload agreements directly to theplatform and can run AI-powered analysis to identify risk, flag non-compliantprovisions, extract key terms, generate redlines, and ask plain-languagequestions about their contracts, across a single agreement or an entireportfolio. As tariff shifts, supply chain disruptions, and evolving vendorrelationships continue to surface contractual exposure, Astra gives teams theability to act quickly, applying consistent standards across their portfolioswithout the implementation timelines or budget commitments that havehistorically made enterprise contract AI inaccessible.
A Free PlanBuilt for Enterprise Teams
Astra’s freeplan includes uncapped use of Astra’s Microsoft Word Add-In, enabling teams tocreate, review, and redline contracts without leaving the application. The planalso supports unlimited users across the organization at no cost.
The freeplan is designed as a practical starting point for organizations that may be determiningwhere AI delivers the most value for their contracting[NM7] operations, or how to build an internal use case for broader adoption. Teamscan instantly bring their own supplier agreements, customer contracts, andsensitive documents to Astra and surface data-rich insights within minutes.
StrongerIntegration Between Astra and Agiloft CLM
With generalavailability, Agiloft is also announcing a deepened integration between Astraand Agiloft CLM. Through Ask AI, Agiloft’s in-platform AI assistant, CLM users [AP8] cannow identify contracts within their knowledge base and send them directly toAstra for analysis[NM9] ,enabling organizations to connect their full contract repository with Astra’sanalytics capabilities.
Agiloft is also expanding the capabilities of Ask AI for CLM users with two newagentic capabilities designed to reduce manual effort across the contractlifecycle:[AP10]
· AI-Assisted Contract Intake enables users to upload a contractdocument and have structured data automatically extracted and used to create anew contract record in Agiloft, replacing a manual entry process that hashistorically introduced errors and delayed contract visibility.
· Guided Contract Updates enables users to make guided updates toexisting records, including key dates, contract status, and documentattachments, through plain-language conversation within the Ask AI interface, eliminating manual navigation through the CLM.[AD11]
“Mostprofessionals responsible for contracts within their organization have beenworking without[NM12] the tools that would let them do theirjobs properly,” said Otto Hanson, VP of Product and GM of Astra at Agiloft.“Astra was built to close that gap, giving professionals the tools they need, and giving the business the data and intelligence it needs to make faster, moreconfident decisions. When new users are getting value within five minutes, youstop asking whether the product works and start asking how fast you can get itin front of everyone who needs it.”
A key driver of thefive-minute-to-value experience [AP13] is Astra’s standards-based reviews andredlining capabilities, which evaluates contract language against anorganization’s own internal playbook standards and risk thresholds usinggenerative AI, instantly producing redlines and risk reports that would otherwiserequire hours of manual review. Users can instantly download from a library ofexpert-crafted community playbooks and begin reviewing contracts againstestablished standards.[AD14] [NM15] [NM16] [NM17]
WhereContract Teams Are Putting Astra to Work
"We already had Agiloftrunning our contract operations; what Astra changed was what we could ask ofthat data,” said Rick Lackner, Senior Corporate Counsel at The Imagine Group. “Whenyour practice spans SaaS agreements, multi-million-dollar equipmenttransactions, and supplier contracts, any portfolio-wide analysis is asignificant undertaking. We needed visibility into auto-renewal windows, pricing escalation clauses, and termination rights across a large supplierportfolio. With Astra, we surfaced that information and came out with aprioritized action list in a fraction of the time it would have taken us to doit manually.”[AD18]
Organizationsacross procurement, legal, finance, and sales [AP19] are managing contract portfolios underconditions that have changed faster than most agreements anticipated.
· A procurement team can upload its vendor contracts and immediately identify everyagreement approaching an auto-renewal window, along with the total dollarexposure and opt-out deadline for each one, giving teams the information theyneed to renegotiate or exit unfavorable agreements before they silently renew.
· A compliance officer can scan an entire contract portfolio against a newly enactedregulation such as the EU AI Act and surface non-compliant terms or missingprovisions before the enforcement deadlines arrive, replacing a manual reviewthat would historically take weeks.
· A finance director can identify every contract in the portfolio with annual price increaseclauses, CPI adjustments, or cost escalation mechanisms and calculate theprojected financial impact across the business.
· A sales or deal desk team can analyze closed customer contracts to identifynon-standard discounting patterns and margin erosion across the portfolio, giving revenue operations the visibility to enforce pricing governance beforeit affects the bottom line.
In eachcase, Astra delivers that analysis on the organization's own contracts, withouta lengthy deployment process or a large budget as a prerequisite.

[OH1]It still feels like we're burying the lead here.
Astra has a FREE PLAN. It includesUNCAPPED use of a powerful Word Add-in for UNLIMITED users. No credit card isrequired. These are objectively things NONE of our competitors have offered -i.e. these are our differentiators and we are not talking about them.
Why do we continue to be so allergicto saying those things in a way that is crystal clear to the public? What am Imissing?
[NM2]@Otto Hanson @Angel Duan - there isn't an allergy to it, butwe are working hard to strike the balance of not just saying free and confusingthe market, when for all it will not be free. So to your point, we can try tohighlight the free plan more without getting into a detailed overview of the entire pricing strategy..... let's uswork on this.
[AP3]I don't know that it matters, but I think Early Access is what wewere calling anyone that came off the waitlist and Early Adopter wasspecifically for current CLM customers
[NM4]EARLY ACCESS is best
[NM5]@Angel Duan - adopter oraccess?
[AP6]Not sure where to add it but one last note adding per our convo -maybe add a paragraph about AI skeptics/those that don't know where tostart/determining what AI works best for your team/building a business case -other 'use case-like' reasons for free tier that aren't so much 'free forever'
[NM7]@Angel Duan - thisparagraph clearly outlines that there is a free plan and non free plans
...designed as a starting point....
[AP8]Adding per our convo Angel - knowledge of KB + power of Astra
[NM9]@Angel Duan - we have a hanging comma
[AP10]Another add just per our convo Angel so it's not lost - do we make'agent' language stronger here for Ask AI
[AD11]@Jason Barnwell are we okwith this verbiage on these capabilities?
[NM12]@Angel Duan - i think we can talk about givingthe professional the tools that they need but need to say and giving thebusiness the data and intelligence it needs type of thing...
[AP13]Angel, it's not letting me tag you for some weird reason (mycomputer hates me today) - just had a new thought! Maybe we can tie first 5minutes with review here by mentioning community? Users can download expertcommunity playbooks and review contracts in the first 5 mins? Take or leave, Iknow we were talking about flow.

[NM15]I still don't think the broader worldknows what the hell tha tmeans...versus something like first month adoptionrates shows close to 75% of users were active with a five minute average timeto value
[NM16]he even has it in quotes you know
[NM17]@Angel Duan - is 74% really good - I think we think it is, but will the average personthink it is. And does the free world know what activation means or is that aninternal way we describe it. We are trying to say people are using it, right? Iam probably being too nitpicky
[AD18]pending approval from customer
[AP19]missing sales in the list here
