Happy Independence Day to our Agiloft community in the United States. This Fourth of July, we are celebrating the freedom to protest and work together to build a better nation. We are taking a closer look at the disparity of freedom and justice within this country, and how to work together to become an anti-racist organization.

To show our commitment to creating change, we would like to share this message sent to all Agiloft employees from our executive team on June 9, 2020:

It has been a difficult few weeks. The killings of George Floyd in Minneapolis and Ahmaud Arbery in South Georgia, and the threats against Christian Cooper in New York illustrate that police brutality, blatant racism, and both conscious and unconscious bias are common across America.

As the management team of Agiloft, we want you to know that we believe in justice and equality and are appalled by the continued racist violence in the US and elsewhere. You may well be angry, frustrated, or experiencing a whole range of emotions. We acknowledge those feelings and want to support you in actions you take to help effect change in our society.
If for you, one of those actions is heading out to participate in a protest during work hours, we support that. Please talk to your manager to schedule and it will not count against your PTO.

Inclusion and equality are Agiloft core values, and something we do our best to uphold in hiring practices and everyday work. If you see areas where we can do better, we welcome your input. Please feel confident that you can reach out to your manager, anyone on the management team/HR, or anonymously to our suggestion box.

We will also set up a shared resource area where we can all share ideas for how Agiloft can make positive changes, and how we can contribute as individuals to making this a better society.

Best Regards,
Agiloft Executive Team

In addition to the above statement, Agiloft has initiated a new policy to allow employees to peacefully protest and show support the Black Lives Matter and Anti-Police Brutality movement without using PTO hours. Many employees have utilized this policy and will continue to do so.

We hope wherever you are, you and yours have a safe, happy, and healthy Independence Day.
